If traditional welding feels like holding a torch to do embroidery, handheld laser welding is more like drawing with light. The technology packs a high-power laser beam into a compact, lightweight gun. Operators can move across metal surfaces as easily as holding a pen, completing a weld in an instant.

Compared with bulky TIG welding, the real advantage is minimal heat input. That means finer weld seams, virtually no distortion, and reliable performance on thin sheet metal. There is no need for filler wire. No spatter. Very little cleanup afterward.
This tool is now widely used in stainless steel kitchenware, auto body repair, electrical enclosures, and machine frames. It runs three to five times faster than traditional methods and significantly lowers the skill requirement. Even beginners can achieve professional results without much practice.

At the SUDA Laser factory, a European client visited and tried the handheld welder in person. Our machines are equipped with a metal detection protection feature. The laser will not fire if the weld spot is not aligned with the correct material, ensuring operator safety. However, we still strongly recommend wearing protective eyewear at all times during operation as a precaution.
The welding results were excellent. The seams were tight, the weld points were neat and uniform, and the finished joints proved strong and durable. Filler wire can also be used alongside the machine for enhanced results.
